Ride for takayna / Tarkine
72-years-old Gaby Jung is riding her electric tricycle from Hobart to takayna / Tarkine where she will join the annual Bob Brown Foundation BioBlitz citizen science weekend.
This 540 km journey will take 2 weeks. Along the way, Gaby will visit local primary schools to speak with students about the incredible plants and animals of the ancient Gondwanan forests of takayna / Tarkine.
Gaby is making this journey because she cares deeply about the plight of takayna / Tarkine, threatened by logging and mining, and wants to ensure that young Tasmanians learn about this magnificent wild place, the threats it faces, and the role we can all play in saving it for the future.
Your tax-deductible donation will support this epic cycle trip, helping to pay for food, equipment and accommodation for Gaby as she makes her way across Tasmania in support of our campaign for World Heritage listing of takayna / Tarkine.
