Please join us for a screening of ‘Forest Defenders’, a documentary that was filmed on the frontline of the blockade to defend a pocket of Tasmanian wilderness, the largest tract of cool temperate rainforest in the world, the pristine and ancient Tarkine.
This stunning documentary ‘Forest Defenders’ has captured the wild native forests of Tasmania and the Bob Brown Foundations action to defend these forests. It is a grassroots documentary, filmed across Tasmania by the activists themselves.
Forest Defenders provides a powerful and beautiful insight into why these spectacular parts of native forests and rainforest are worthy of protection, showing the day-to-day lives of those who fight for protection.
This screening is being hosted by members of the Ulverstone Community, and will include a Q&A with the Bob Brown Foundation's Tarkine campaigner Scott Jordan after the film. We will be taking donations for the Foundation at the door, and there will be tea and coffee available after the film.
