Did you know the Tarkine in Tasmania's northwest is not protected as a National Park or World Heritage Area?

The Tarkine Action Lab working group invites you to a day of focused planning to bring ideas to life that support building an active, creative and energised campaign for protecting the Tarkine from imminent threats. These include logging, mining and off-road vehicle access over important Aboriginal cultural heritage sites.

This day will involve finding strategic and creative solutions for Melbourne to play an important role in building the campaign locally, nationally and internationally.

The Incubator day is inclusive and encourages diverse perspectives. You will learn about the Tarkine, hear from experienced speakers, performers and artists to co-create, participate and network to build the fun, colour and imagination in this campaign.

The intention of this workshop day is to provide the knowledge and understanding for ingenuity to flow in finding community campaigning based solutions. Solutions will be prioritized by the group and further developed in break out sessions. The outcome of this day is for teams to be formed around specific ideas that are supported to fruition as part of the campaign.

This is a ticketed event. $10 will cover your lunch for the day. Please pay in advance via the website link or bring cash on the day.
